Students

La Crosse Area Community Foundation administers over 50 scholarship funds. Scholarship funds allow donors to lessen the financial barrier to higher education while investing in future leaders. When donors provide scholarships, they offer more than financial support; they validate students’ experiences and let them know they have a community of supporters helping them pursue their educational dreams.

Applying for a Scholarship

Scholarship application processes vary depending on the fund and the institution supporting it. Below is general guidance to help you get started.

High School Seniors — Applications are available in your school’s guidance office.

College & Nontraditional Students — Check with the financial aid office at your school or other office that manages scholarships for a list of available opportunities and directions for applying. Your school’s website may also maintain a list of available scholarship opportunities.

Receiving Your Scholarship

If you’ve been awarded a scholarship through LACF, congratulations! Whether you’re a new or renewing scholarship recipient, you must complete and submit the scholarship recipient form found here to confirm a scholarship award and provide the information needed for payment purposes.

Partners in Your Education

Scholarships administered by LACF reflect the generosity of donors who believe in education and community. Our role is to steward these funds responsibly while ensuring the process is clear, fair, and accessible to students.

If you have questions at any point, Donor Services Director Megan Pierce is here to help.
