LACF Board Interest and Nominations LACF Board: Interest & Nominations La Crosse Area Community Foundations is currently inviting expressions of interest and nominations for an opening to serve on our Board of Directors. We are looking for engaged members of the La Crosse Area who: believe in the power of philanthropy to drive lasting change, reflect the diversity and values of our region, bring lived experience, strategic thinking, or professional expertise, and are ready to contribute their time, voice, and leadership. Board members serve as trusted stewards of our mission, helping guide strategy, strengthen partnerships, and ensure resources reach the people and places that need them most. Board members serve 5-year terms. The Board meets every other month, and members also serve on one of three committees: Finance and Investment, Development, and Impact. Whether you are nominating someone you admire, or raising your own hand, we welcome your input. Nominations will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with the current open seat starting in July or September of 2025. Yes No Committee DescriptionsFinance & Investment: The Finance & Investment Committee provides oversight of the Foundation’s financial health, including its investment strategy, annual budget, and financial reporting. The committee meets quarterly to review financial performance, recommend policies, evaluate service providers, and ensure alignment with the Foundation’s long-term financial goals.Impact: The Impact Committee is a standing committee of the La Crosse Area Community Foundation Board that provides oversight and guidance on the Foundation’s competitive grantmaking, Nonprofit Resource Center, and affiliate partnerships. The committee evaluates grant applications, recommends funding and partnership decisions, supports program development, and helps implement community education aligned with the Foundation’s strategic plan.Development: The Development Committee provides oversight and strategic guidance for the Foundation’s revenue growth, donor engagement, marketing, and affiliate relationships. The committee helps shape and monitor asset development strategies, evaluates trends in philanthropy, and ensures communications and fundraising efforts support the Foundation’s long-term sustainability and impact.Which committee interests you the most?Feel free to select more than one!
