Pat Fredrickson Memorial Scholarship

Pat Fredrickson spent her 34-year career as an elementary school teacher in the La Crescent-Hokah School District. Pat devoted herself to not only teaching the academic subjects but also to teaching her students to be caring and responsible members of our community.  She loved each and every student she had the privilege to teach. Pat’s elementary career was primarily spent teaching first grade. She also spent several years as the elementary school librarian.  Pat passed away on November 7, 2011, at the age of 59, after a five-year battle with cancer. The Pat Fredrickson Memorial Scholarship supports the School District 300 Foundation which will award this scholarship to a graduating student from La Crescent High School whose post-secondary education  major is in elementary education, library science, or healthcare.
