The Michael J. Berg Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Michael Berg, a 1996 graduate of La Crosse Central High School. During his time there, Michael distinguished himself as an outstanding student in math and the sciences, while at the same time being active in the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Robed Choir, and Show Choir. This scholarship will honor and benefit a student demonstrating similar abilities and interests and intending to pursue a degree in either a STEM related field or the creative arts related to music or film/video media, where his career eventually led him after attaining an engineering degree.
