Big Blue Dragon Boat Festival

Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse will host the sixth annual Big Blue Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Teams will engage in colorful and spirited competition on the Black River along La Crosse’s Copeland Park.

Over 50 teams will compete on a 300-meter course in an energized race to the finish line. The teams paddle in sleek, colorful Hong Kong-style dragon boats, provided by the event. There is no charge to attend and spectators are encouraged to come cheer on the teams. In addition to the dragon boat races, the festival will include music, free family activities and food.

The festival promotes fitness and teamwork, while supporting area breast cancer survivors and benefiting healthy lifestyle programs at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse.
