La Crosse Area Community Foundation is excited to welcome Norah Miller as this year’s Community Engaged Fellow! Originally from Menomonee Falls, Norah attends the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, where she is studying marketing with minors in international business and sustainable business.
At UWL, she serves on the board of Students for Sustainability as food justice coordinator. Norah is involved in other food justice activities in the La Crosse community, as she served as a food access assistant at the La Crosse Area Family YMCA for nearly two years.
Norah is passionate about travel and has explored nearly 16 countries. Among them, Ireland holds a special place in her heart. During UWL J-term this year, Norah spent time studying sustainable business there alongside her classmates.
During her most recent semester at UWL, she worked as a marketing and programming intern for a local nonprofit, Drift Cycle, where she learned the ins and outs of market research, project management, collaborative work, and much more.
Beyond academics and work, Norah enjoys spending time outdoors, whether hiking, hammocking, or playing rugby. Her love for nature fuels her passion for sustainability, which she incorporates into her daily life and community involvement.
Norah is excited to join our team and gain valuable experience in the amazing philanthropic community of La Crosse!
Funded by longtime La Crosse Educators Ron and Jane Rada, the Community Engaged Fellowship program funds three $12,000 year-long fellowships, including one at La Crosse Community Foundation. The fellowships resemble a closely mentored internship that promotes community engagement and supports philanthropy.
