Quarter 3 nonprofit Capacity Building Grants announced

As summer winds down and the rhythm of fall begins to stir, there’s a sense of both reflection and momentum in the air. Gardens are in full bloom, pollinators are busy with their final stretch of the season, and our community is soaking up the last golden days of warmth.
Much like the natural world preparing for change, our grantmaking process continues to adapt to the needs of our community. In Quarter 3, our focus was on the Nonprofit Capacity Building Program. We evaluated Cohort 1 grantees and set goals for a second year of funding, and we received 13 Letters of Intent from organizations eager to join this year’s pilot. The Board of Directors approved two new organizations for year two and renewed funding for all four Cohort 1 grantees. We look forward to deepening relationships, building community awareness, and strengthening sustainability with these outstanding partners.
We celebrate the generosity that makes this work happen and recognize the scope of work we have yet to do to ensure our community is a welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant place for all people in the greater La Crosse area. Quarter 4 will open in September, and we will have roughly $175,000.00 to grant before the end of 2025.
